The Collective Age
Summary:
The Collective Age was the period of time that first show us, under the right circumstances races that had differing beliefs and outlooks could unite for the common goal of governing the galaxy, spreading their influence and allow their various races to expand amongst the stars.
By this time the affects of The Wars of Magic and Science were still felt with magical and scientific progression being a shadow of it’s former self, with not many resources between the various First Age, Second Age and numerous other races they decided to put aside their differences and formed “The Collective” which would be the first galactic power of this “new millennium”.
Whether it was due to a lack of hope or the desperate need to cling to it, the wide majority of the galaxy began professing their belief in “The Golden Faith”, a religion that believed in a divine entity called “The Golden King” and saw him as the greater of all things. Soon this would give rise to “The Golden Order”, an organisation that dedicated themselves to the utter destruction of Chaos and The Unknown, additionally it wouldn’t be long before The Golden Order would work alongside The Collective and nearly become as power as it.
Life during this age was hard as The Collective cared more about expanding it’s reach instead of feeding it’s people, while once compassionate to their people’s suffering, The Collective would soon become deaf to their voices and alongside The Golden Order would twist the morals within The Golden Faith to justify their actions. The majority of civilians lived in overpopulated “Swarm Worlds” with these places being breeding grounds for disease, cults, drugs and other forms of death, the more well off in the galaxy lived in shining golden cities with structures so beautiful it could make an Octush cry, finally “The Collectors” would live their lives in glowing golden towers far above those whose lives they considered petty.
