Magic
Magic is a massively powerful cosmic force that has been the influence for numerous wars, religions, advancements and civilisations across the galaxy and beyond, however it has also been the cause of widespread horror.

The direct origins of Magic isn’t known, some say it is a direct gift from The Deus, others claim it was the result of a great and powerful cosmic war fought before history was documented, but the most popular answer is that magic is simply a result of communing with the universe and using it to achieve great power.
In order for an individual to use magic they must dedicate a large amount of their time and energy towards training as their bodies must become essentially a vessel for magic to flow through, this type of training is difficult and challenging often involving extended periods of meditation for, extreme physical exercise and the fortification of one’s mind from all negative thoughts. For the average galactic civilian to effectively and safely use magic can take up to 20 years and possible shorter or longer depending upon a number of factors such as race, origin and their current occupation, the main reason for this lengthy timeframe is because the majority of individuals in the modern age have a low “Magika Count” compared to The Collective and even before. In basic terms Magika otherwise known as “Galactic Attunement” measures an individuals connection to the universe, someone with high Magika can learn numerous magics at one time and generally have a faster time doing so, however an individual with a low Magika level generally have trouble learning basic magics like Pyromancy and Hydromancy for example, however there are certain potions, rituals and blessings that serve to increase one’s overall Magika level if for but a short while.
It is important to note that magic exists differently between the galaxy and the soulscape, in the galaxy magic is watered down due to it needing to be categorised, while in the soulscape magic is extremely potent because no one sees any need to categorise it, this is the reason why Sennu, Space Marines and most who use magic and are travelling to the soulscape must undergo training as their magical ability will be more potent and therefore will cause more damage if they aren’t controlled.
Different Forms of Magics:
1. Pyromancy- is a form of magic that allows an individual to harness the destructive, cleansing and healing power of fire. Pyromancy is probably one of, if not the most famous and most feared form of magic due to 2 reasons; the first being it’s “overuse” and portrayal in the entertainment industry, as well as heavy use by the majority of warriors throughout galactic history. Interestingly a big reason as to why pyromancy is so popular aside from it’s use in combat and various media is due to “The 5 Divine Flames” , in short there are numerous religious groups that either worship or have integrated the flames into their scripture meaning more pyromancers and even more alternate forms of pyromancy.
2.Hydromancy- is a form of magic that allows an individual to command the overwhelming force of water. Hydromancy is an often overlooked magic that is regarded as a joke by most civilians and even some magic users, however this form of magic in the right hands can be a powerful tool or a destructive force that can sink entire armies. Hydromancy is often the first magic that is fully utilise by a mortal race, while the reason for this is unknown the evidence is clear by main race’s ancient events such as “Dathkan drowning a horde of devils and sealing the oblivion gate”, “Moses parting the red sea and allow he and the Israelis to escape Egypt” and many more stories like them.
3.Sangius- is a form of magic that allows an individual to harness the truest and fullest potential of blood. Sangius is a magic that terrifies many people not just because of the fact it uses a vital part of life, but because of how it has been used in the past as well as how many cultists and madmen use this magic to summon horrific entities into our realm, that being said Sangius has/is used in a positive way such as blood transfusions, luring deadly beasts into traps and even curing various blood diseases.
4.Second Age Magic- is a form of magic that was created during The Wars of Magic and Science and is viewed by most magic users as “an a front to magic and the universe itself”. Second Age Magic was created using advanced scientific machines in order to capture “magical molecules” which could later be placed in or fitted to various machines, weapons and even spaceships, these magical molecules can only be captured while a magical act is being performed and for this to be possible numerous magic users were tortured by The Second Age races.
