The Bygones
The Bygones are said to be The Grand Creators first living creation and as a result are simplistic, scattered and lack logical thinking or explanations, in addition to being the first, The Bygones are also cited as being the most powerful even rivaling The Ancient Dragons.
Information:
The Bygones are a sui-generis race that are connected only by their incredible size, power and illogical nature with no single Bygone being the same as another. As mentioned with The Book of Truths, The Bygones were a savage race that saw purpose in meaningless pursuits such as war, death, and destruction with a quote from the book stating; “The Bygones were but a rough idea to test the waters of creating life, they were a necessary mistake, but a mistake nonetheless”. Later there is mention of a holy war fought between The Bygones and The Deus alongside The Ancient Dragons called “The War of Shinning Stars”, and in said war The Bygones are presented as the savage villains after attacking one of The Deus. If The Book of Truths is to be believed, then The Bygones were truly a forced to be reckoned with, some passages claim they crushed entire planets, other claim they laid waste to trillions upon trillions of civilizations, and there is one verse with The Book of Truths that reads; “and with the 3 strikes of his bronze hammer, Azabon, ruler of Bygones. The First strike left the master wounded, The Second caused him to wimper and cry as he looked on towards his fallen children, and The Third let loose the glorious light that had once live instead him until both his body was cold to the touch, and the galaxy dimmed slightly”. After this war was won, The Ancient Dragon “Markarra” suggest forcing The Bygones into an eternal slumber and imprisoning them within the cores of planets with the first prisoner being Azabon’s second in command, “Dojuntis”.
The most documented age for The Bygones was The Collective Age as they were the main enemy of “The War of Sorrowsome Fates” with The Bygone “Dojuntis” leading them. During The War of Sorrowsome Fates, the galaxy that had forgotten The Bygone’s existence was once again reminded of their illogical nature and their sheer destructive capabilities, in addition the freeing of each Bygone caused devastating damage and in some case the utter destruction of the planet they were imprisoned within, this in turn cause causalities to range in the trillions within just the first few hours.
In the modern age The Bygones aren’t the big bad threat they once were and this is due to two main reasons, the first is because a large number of them were killed during The War of Sorrowsome Fates, and the second is because the ones that are known have been lobotomized by “The Blood-Snow Company” and have been reduced to cage fighting beasts. The only Bygone that is somewhat accepted by the galactic community is of course “The Tree Minder”.
Different Bygones:
Dojuntis- also known as “The Chained Terror” was a Bygone that was the second in command of Azabon, Ruler of Bygones, before becoming the new leader during “The War of Sorrowsome Fates”. Within The Book of Truths, Dojuntis is described as a “whaling horror with a thousand legs and a devilish horned grin”, in addition Dojuntis was known to be able to case fire from his many hands and also ignite his own body in flames which only added to his already terrifying appearance. Dojuntis was imprisoned within the planet Velnut and was kept slumbering just like all other Bygones, however whether it was the mining of the planets resources or simply divine intervention, Dojuntis was awoken and soon after would cast the galaxy in fire, ushering in “The War of Sorrowsome Fates”.
Uffnoogoo- also known as “The Terrible Spider” was a Bygone that once was imprisoned within the planet Okbarn and was highly worshiped by The Arachnids. Within The Book of Truths, Uffnoogoo is described as a “great and terrible spider that knows not what it dreams nor what lays in from of it”, which may suggest it was either crazed, mindless or perhaps something a bit more eldritch. At some point Uffnoogoo (or at least a part of her) was found by The Arachnids and they worshiped it as their true creator, which may even be true if some theories are to be believed.
The Tree Minder- is The Bygone responsible for completely destroying one race and then constructing another in their place. The Tree Minder was imprisoned beneath the planet Cmdok and it is currently believed that Cmdok’s hostile planet and animal life is a direct cause of The Tree Minder’s presence. Most often when The Tree Minder is mentioned people instantly think of The Tree Folk as both are connected through a Hivemind intelligence that is responsible for The Tree Folk’s unique advancement and societal structure.
Azabon, Ruler of Bygones- was the first Bygone according to The Book of Truths and the most dangerous as well.
