The Drakes
The Drakes were once considered only a gift created by The Ancient Dragons in hopes of stopping their slaughter at the hands of The Pantheon, however in the modern age they are considered a productive member of the galactic community.
Information:
The Drakes were first created during The Pantheonic Age by The Ancient Dragons in exchange for a plain to retreat to far away from Akovire and his pantheon, and Akovire was very specific about wanting an army of warriors that would obey his every command. During this time, The Drakes were little more then slaves to The Pantheon as all their minds were tied to a ring wielded by Akovire himself, and with “The Enslaved’s Ring” Akovire commanded his Drakes to swarm entire planets, slaughter whole populations and overall become a symbol of The Pantheons strength as well as Akovire’s sheer brutality. When Akovire was killed and The Pantheon collapsed, The Drakes were left stunned and confused as for the first time since their creation they didn’t have Akovire whispering in their ears. Not knowing what to do The Drake’s fled towards The Dark Realm and wouldn’t be seen again for nearly 2,000 years.
In terms of appearance, The Drakes are scaly bipedal reptilians that stand at around 10ft-13ft tall. They have a pair of strong scaly wings upon their back that can be used for flight, but are primarily used as shields due to the thick layer of armoured bone that is present on the outer portion of the wings. Additionally owing to their dragon origins, Drakes have long, almost snout like mouths with 2 hols acting as the nose and a large set of razor sharp teeth, however unlike The Ancient Dragons Drakes don’t have near their level of galactic attunement. Finally unlike dragons but like other reptiles, Drakes have a tongue which they can elongate, in addition their tongues possess strong hairs upon them which allow them to grip and stick onto almost any surface.
In the modern age The Drakes have come a long way, where once they were slaves to a tyrannically cruel God, now they are free of his voice and have built a society they can be proud of. There is no war with The Drakes, no internal conflict, no petty political difference, just peace and the desire to never go back to what they once were. Additionally The Drakes actually possess ”The Enslaved Ring”, but it’s location isn’t known to even The Drake’s “High Court”.
