The Zorblokcs

Female

Male

The Zorblokcs are a race of tribalistic crustaceans that have built their society around tradition, mythology and magic, in addition their brave revolution against The Galactic Administration has only aided to how the galaxy view them.

Information:

The Zorblokcs were first discovered during “The Administrative Crusades” by The Dictation Fleet “Vagtuarn” led by Dictator “Bross C Cutler” on their homeworld of “Vaktarkaknew”, unfortunately this fleet wasn’t interested in peaceful allies or collection of slaves and instead brought only devastating war. Surprisingly unlike most races The Administration fought, The Zorblokcs were able to pose a considerable threat to The Vagtuarn Fleet by utilising their unique blend of magic, spirituality and tribalistic customs, which resulted in a surprising amount of losses on The Administration’s side. Eventually like so many other races, The Zorblokcs were brutally beaten by The Galactic Administration after Vaktarkaknew was subject to multiple nuclear bombardments, this resulted in them being integrated into the wider galactic community and them being forced to serve The Galactic Administration.

In terms of appearance, The Zorblokcs are bipedal crustaceans that can stand anywhere between 7ft-12ft tall. Their skin is split up into 2 main sections; the first is their inner skin which mostly present on the torso and is softer yet more flexible skin, and the second is their outer skin which is the harden shell like skin present throughout most of the body, the outer skin acts as a form of armour which protects Zorblokcs from common attacks like knives, punches and even regular gunpowder bullets. Interestingly unlike most races, Zorblokcs have much more distinct differences then would normally be expected between genders; For example Male Zorblokcs have pincer claws much like crabs, hind legs, a smaller bu heavily protected body and their eyes are located near the forehead and far away from the mouth, whereas Female Zorblokcs have 3 fingered hands, knees instead of hind legs, a wider but much softer body and their eyes are just above their mouths.

At one time, The Zorblokcs society was separated into tribes, and while their modern society reflects some of these values much of their tribal identities were destroyed along with their homeworld. In the modern age, The Zorblokcs are a nomadic race that aimlessly travel and explore the galaxy, while they do stop on planets to explore and certain hubs in order to trade, an average civilian will almost never see “The Nomadic Fleet” in their lifetime.

History:

Ancient History:

The Zorblokcs weren’t always the peaceful, spiritually and culturally rich people that they are in the modern age, their ancient ancestors named “The Primcercan” were the opposite in fact as big as they were unintelligent and as savage to their enemies as they were to their family.

These Primcercan from fossils as well as logs from ancient species like The Stygians depict them as violent carnivores that would attack anything and everything they could get their claws on, interestingly these primitives would rarely engage with others of their race outside of their own family which suggests that there was a significant amount of inbreeding that occurred. Additionally due to the inbreeding the vast differences present in male and female Zorblokcs weren’t present within The Primcercans, however in their place would be mutations that would cause a fungal like organism to grow on the genitals on their young, perhaps evolution trying to give these crustaceans a nudge in the right direction.

At some point The Stygians either did or were in the process of colonising the planet “Hep-Tell 4217” now known as “Vatarkaknew” where they were greeted by a particularly aggressive “family” of Primcercans, records of what exactly happened isn’t truly known however it is believed that The Stygians were unable to fully repel the attacking Primcercans, so instead they decided to unleash an unknown toxic gas into Vatarkaknews atmosphere that would kill all life on the planet with the hopes of returning to claim the planet as their own, however due to unknown reasons they didn’t and Vatarkaknew became a toxic wasteland for many centuries.

The Rise of The Tribes:

According to information provided by The Nomadic Fleet as well as information from various past galactic governments it is believed that The Zorblokcs first began to formulate tribes towards the final decades of The Collective Age, this is believed because of a report from a Missionary from The Kingdom of Nojas would spoke of “massive armoured crabs that wielded magics unknown and commanded the spirits of animals”

Since Vatarkaknews destruction as well as “the long survival” The Zorblokcs even with their advanced spiritmancy and communication with their ancestors still have missing information on tribes and even tribes they almost know nothing about, below are the tribes that we currently have information on.

1. Dev-Lakka-Ranni (The Elder Tribe)- is the largest and one of the last tribes formed by ancient Zorblokcs and is the most common with the large majority of modern day Zorblokcs being a part of this tribe. The tribe is believed to have been formed because of the looming  threat of the “Dala-Karra” (The Undercrabs) believed to have been Primcercans that have survived deep within the crystal caves of Vatarkaknew and now threaten the surface, their attacks are said to have devastated the various separate tribes present at the time forcing them to pool their differences together a form a single tribe to combat this new foe. After the long war against the Dala-Karra, Dev-Lakka-Ranni began to rebuild what was lost and hoped to build greater things given their new found strength, interestingly however they didn’t go to war with the other tribes that refused to join them, instead they encourage the tribes to maintain their independence but there were alliances formed and packs sealed in blood to make sure that peace could still be achieved. Unfortunately little is known about the various tribes that laid the foundation for The Elder Tribe’s formation, but it is said by the “zyjacy przodek” that their ancestors are pleased they still practices their traditions even if they don’t know it

2. Tell-Vak-Soocash (The Blood Tribe)- is a tribe that mainly kept to themselves on Vatarkaknew within the crimson coral mountains, here they practiced rituals that terrified most other tribes, but Dev-Lakka-Ranni remained peaceful towards them allowing them to remain in the mountains. The tribe itself utilises sangius or blood magic to commune with their ancestor either via offer animal blood or their own, typically this results in the ancestor spirit brief possessing where the blood has been spilled from offering wisdom, warnings or guidance in times of great need, however there are accounts particular in times of war that the tribe would perform “Formasang” which would give the spirit a body made up of blood along with a weapon. In the modern age it is a believed that a small number of descendants from Tell-Wak-Soocash still live, in fact there is a terrorist organisation allied with The New World Government called “The Bloodied Tears” which is believed to have roots in this blood tribe, but we aren’t 100% sure of that.

3. Seem-Dra-Karree (The Raven Tribe)- is a tribe of necromancers that once lived within the hollowed tunnels beneath Vatarkaknew avoided by all other tribes because of their "disrespectful" and “disgusting” treatment of their ancestors as well as those who live in the here and now, however despite this Dev-Lakka-Ranni remained friendly towards Semm-Dra-Karree as one might treat a dangerous dog. The Raven Tribe utilise spiritmancy in order to house the spirits of their ancestors within weapons and necromancy so that they corpses may wield them, admittedly however according to the records the tribe wasn’t hostile and didn’t open seek conflict with any other tribe instead stealing the bodies of their dead, this is why in Zorblokc culture the bodies of the dead are burned or sealed in tombs with strong magic.

4. Cak-Fell-Nadda (The Tribeless)- is a term used in ancient Zorblokc culture to label those amongst their race who didn’t belong to any tribe and were often selfish or monstrous in some way, while the term is used today it is mainly used to labelled Zorblokcs that have been cast out of The Nomadic Fleet. From ancient texts, stories and records, The Cak-Fell-Nadda were bandits in some ways, they raided the camps of other tribes, they sold the young and forced them to become slaves and some simply killed for the sake of killing. Unfortunately there isn’t much more information on this particular “sub-Tribe” save the story of “Kalla Mortis” which tells the story of a Cak-Fell-Nadda male falling in love with a Dev-Lakka-Ranni female and him having to put his life of raiding behind him to be with the one he truly loves.
