Many stories about Kelpies often revolve around it luring in mortals with its able to shapeshift and consuming any mortal it comes across, these could be considered “partly true” as many Beast Hunters and Beastologists have document that Kelpies have an extreme aggressive nature, however they have also documented that Kelpies have saved those who have been left for dead or murdered injustly within their terrority. From the above information many have drawn that Kelpies are indeed dangerous, however they are the purest image of nature itself, while nature is sometimes terrifying, it is always just and kind.
