Biography:
Object 4 is a dating website located on the public web and is filled with various cognitive hazardous paranormal material. Object 4 presents itself as “the only way to find the truth of love” and has a basic as well as outdated design layout with a home page, a contact us page and a dating page.
The Home Page is simple and only really talks about what the website does, how they operate and how they started out. If the information on this page is to be believed then Object 4 was created by and currently still running because of an “Albert P Frosthouse”, and his reasons for starting the site? Well that can be answered with the following quote provided by Mr Frosthouse; “This is where you and all others can find love, here you can witness as the lies of love of laid bare and put all your doubt to rest”.
The Contact Us Page displays a defunked phone number, an expired email address and a postal address which leads to a warehouse on the planet “Furholdan”. Investigate of the warehouse turned up nothing paranormal per say, the only thing the investigation team managed to find were a large amount of unopened, dusty and damp boxes all with flyers and various advertising material for the dating site.
The Dating Page is the most detailed part of Object 4 as well as the most paranormal, the page displays a list of 3 separate links for the user to click on and engage with. Below are the links as well as texts that appear below the links.
The first link titled “Chatter Box” will place 2 individuals in an anonymous chat room where they can both converse, trade image and video files and overall get to know each other, interestingly the individuals aren’t allowed to share external social media accounts, E-Mail address, phone numbers or any alternative form of communication forcing them to only talk in the chat room. As time passes the 2 individuals will start feeling stuck as if they can’t leave the chat room and continue conversing even if the situation is “inappropriate” like a funeral, during an emotional event or even more “intermate moments”, despite there best efforts to stop chatting all together, putting the device down or turning the device off they will always come back to it. Eventually the 2 individuals will view the chat room as their single objective and will begin ignoring their various daily tasks like eating, drinking and sleeping, professional obligations like work and even personal responsibilities like looking after their child, it is worth noting that the individuals mental state over time will dramatically worsen as they don’t even want to keep chatting, but someone or something is keeping them chatting. Finally after a time ranging from 3 weeks to 3 days, the 2 individuals will die by even brain haemorrhaging, starvation or a number of other causes, autopsies performed on the 2 individuals reveals that they possess each others hearts, but how this occurs is unknown as no evidence of surgery performed is located on either of the bodies. The Text below the link reads “Love steals our lives”.
The second link titled “Swipe and Dice” will show a variety of preferred individuals which the user must “swipe” meaning they like them or “Dice” them which means the opposite. The paranormal abilities of Object 4 kick in when the user has swiped over 20 people as 2 hours will have passed even with continuous swiping, if the user goes back and swipes 50 people then 12 hours will have passed, and if the user swipes 100 then 24 hours will have passed, however this “temporal paranormality” seems to only affect the user and not the outside world. To test the full extent of Object 4’s temporal anomaly we tasked an X-Agent around 25 years old to continuously swipe for as long as he could, and in just over 4 hours the X-Agent died of a severe brain haemorrhage at the age of 178. Additionally further investigate and evidence shows that none of the preferred individuals shown to the users even exist or have ever existed. The text below the link reads “Love steals our time”.
The third and final link titled “Search for your solution” appears as a simple search bar with text below reading “Search and you will find the truth”. When a user types in their own name the website provides a detailed document on their appearance, hobbies, achievements and even the more unknown aspects of their life, located at the bottom will be a tick box which when ticked reveals the users “problem” and provides a “solution”, this was found when investigating the death of a 17 year old girl who had used the site and the text it showed her was; “Chad doesn’t even know you exist, and why would he? You’re not exactly attractive, interesting or unique. Maybe everyone would be better off if they saw you the way Chad sees you”. When a user types in a negative emotion that they are feeling like rage, pain, sorrow or so on a short paragraph will appear and convince the user that a singular person is responsible for them feeling that emotion, the paragraph will then continue to encourage the user to “take the truth” from that person, this was found when a 15 year old boy murdered his new-born sister with a hatchet and tried to cook as well as consume her, when we found the boy he seemed “grey” as if the very spark of life itself had vanished, it is important to note that if the user isn’t feeling a negative a emotion and types one in there will be no paranormal effect. Finally when a user types in “I want to find a solution” a perfect glowing digital hand will appear from their device along with a voice believed to be Albert Frosthouse’s beckoning them to take the hand, if the user takes the hand then they will disappear and a brand new box of advertisements will appear in the warehouse on “Furholdan” and re-examination of the boxes reveals the names of numerous missing individuals across the galaxy, however if the user doesn’t take the hand or tries to close down the site then they will be forcefully grabbed by the hand and pulled in without a new box appearing in the warehouse. The Text below the link reads “Love makes us forget our purpose”.
