Hounds

Information:

Hounds are considered the most friendly and well trained beast in the entire galaxy, given the name “Mortals Best Friend”, Mortals have used Hound in a lot of different across the ages, for example Hounds were used by The Collective as protectors of The Royals, next they were given god like powers by Akovire during his experiments, finally and most recent The Space Marines began training Hounds to use suits similar to theirs. 

A common fact about Hounds is that they are descendants of wolves, it is not known when but at some point Mortals started domesticating wolves so they could be used to fight off bigger beasts like Bears, Barks and even Tuskers, eventually through a connection between Mortals as well as evolution Wolves slowly started to become Hounds as genetics were passed down, in so doing Mortals managed to guide nature instead of outright manipulating it like Hybrids, Experiments and Constructs show. 

Different Hounds:

Hal Hounds- is a type of Hound created by The Demons of Hal. The Hound’s skin is transformed into the same rocky surface of a Demon and its teeth are extended to the point where it rips apart the rocky gums of Beast. Instead of a bark, A Hal Hound produces a terrifying breath of fire that can even burn through Space Marine Armour, however Hal Hound have also been known to produce a fiery acidic substance as a spit instead of the fiery breath. 

Hulk Hounds- is a type of Hound created through careful “Radioactive Experimentation”. Hulk Hounds in terms of appearance will keep the body they had before, however their overall body size will increase dramatically to around the size of a baby whale (23-26 feet). As a by product of their Radioactive origin, Hulk Hounds are able to unleash a “Radiation Wave” when they pounce, this has been known to cause small mutations in anyone exposed to this wave not wearing the proper equipment, In addition due to the radiation Hulk Hounds are infertile and are expected to completely die out in the next 200 years. 

Human Hounds- is a type of Hound created by The Second Races on the planet Erda. Human Hounds are “distressing” to look at as the facial, limb, and bodily structure look completely alien to the shape of the being, a common claim is “It looks like a human but all the parts are in the wrong place”. In terms of attitude Human Hounds have been seen expressing similar emotions to their Mortal counterparts, however the emotions are completely off balance, for example instead of crying when sad a Human Hound will laugh, another example if a Human Hound is angry it will act confused, this makes caring for them extremely difficult as it is unclear what it needs. 

Cyber Hounds- is a type of Hound created by The Galactic Administration. Typically a Cyber Hound will be composed of at least 60% Cybernetics which increase their lifespan, speed and agility, any more than 60% they are classed as Robo Hounds, any less than 60% they are simply classed as “Modified”. Interestingly many Cyber Hounds can end up being of a similar intelligence to Mortals due to a “Brain Chip”, this Brain Chip allows a Hound to use more of their brain which enables them to distinguish words from each and finally to learn to speak on the level of Mortals.
