The Bogons
The Bogons are a race with a rich history, a turbulent past, a disappointing future and a future that doesn’t hold much salvation for their race, but in a galaxy of multiple unique races, wonderous fundamental forces and still so much yet to explore, anything is possible I suppose.
Information:
The Bogons were first discovered at the tail end of The Collective Age and had become a thorn in their side very quickly, with their natrually high attunement to magic they weren’t bound by The Golden Order’s “magic system” and so used this to become a power house within the illegal magics market, for thousands of years The Bogons were the dominant force within illegal magics and this caused them to develop trade relations with the massively powerful “Offlock Empire”. Throughout The Pantheonic Age and The Administration Age both The Offlock and Bogon Empires were considered the most dangerous and profitable criminal empires in the galaxy, in addition the relationship between them only deepened when The Bogons intervened when Akovire sent “The God of Despair” to destroy The Offlocks homeworld of “Hut-too-ta”, in the process they managed to save The Offlocks and allowed them to share their homeworld of “Maddrea”. Unfortunately it would be the inaction of The Offlock Empire that allowed The Bogon Empire to be completely destroyed and their entire race to be tormented for thousands of years by The Galactic Administration.
In terms of appearance, The Bogons are toad-like omnipeds that stand 5ft-6ft standing or 3ft-4ft while on all fours. Similar to toads they have thick warty skin that is often dry, but unlike toads Bogons have evolved so their skin is hard and protective but also with little cracks which traps air in and keeps their body temperature regulated, also similar to toads they possess a very sticky tongue that is able to elongate up to 3x’s a bogons natural height. In the same vein as their primitive cousins, Bogons procreate extremely fast with females laying anywhere from 50-100 eggs when pregnant, however in a mortal society this has had the effect of Bogon children never having a close or even a relationship their their parents, instead during the days of The Bogon Empire the children would have been raised by “The Sisterhood of Maddrea” which was a collection of female Bogons that would raise, take care and eventually prepare the children for a life within the empire.
In the modern age, The Bogons are a broken people with no society, no military, no homeworld, no methods of rebuilding their race and no purpose within the wider galaxy, most take up jobs as black market dealers, bounty hunters or simply choosing to live day by day spending their time drinking themselves silly to numb the pain of a purposeless life.
