The Talosians
The Talosians are a proud warrior race with a far distant relation to The Ancient Dragons as well as an all too natural relationship with magic that has caused magical professionals to take an interest.
Information:
The Talosians were documented since before The Wars of Magic and Science begun, however they were first “confirmed” to be real in the early Collective Age when “The Grand Dragon Council” offered to join The Collective. While they weren’t unwilling slaves or mindless soldiers, The Talosians followed the orders their Ancients to such a point that even they didn’t really understand why, when asked “Why do you serve The Ancient Dragons?” most Talosians would simply either refuse the question or refute it by asking their own questions like “Why do you eat?”, “Why do you breathe?” as well as “Why do you sleep?” , this may suggest that The Talosian’s service to The Ancient Dragons is something more then an obligation. Even though the race was largely present for most of The Collective Age, they were driven out of the wider galaxy and most of their population was slaughtered during both “The War of Needless Courage” and “The Grand Dragon Extinction”.
In terms of appearance, Talosians are scaly winged bipedals that can stand anywhere between 5ft-10ft tall. Their skin heavily resembles that of most dragons species, however Talosian skin seems to be much more metallic in appearance with them able to easily deflect bullets and withstand normally fatal temperatures. Their heads also resemble those of other dragons however instead of having a small neck like most “regular mortals”, Talosians have elongated necks giving them the ability to maneuver in a much more flexible manner, in addition Talosians are also able to breathe certain elements from their mouths, however this takes a large toll on a Talosian’s body and this ability is notably limited to pyromancy, cryomancy and hydromancy. Finally similar to Drakes, Talosians also have a pair of wings upon their back and these can be used as shields as well as to take flight, they are notably more “aerodynamic” and can generate speed much quicker then a Drake can.
In the modern age Talosians are a rare sight, while many are members of various galactic factions, with no homeworld, government or widespread presence they are unable to join The Unity Council and so much of their population is within The Untamed Sector. Interestingly after The Grand Dragon Extinction, many Talosians found their way to Morgoth and they actually had a relatively large presence on the planet, until The Administration arrived.
