The Primes
The Primes were created to be an extremely powerful weapon for the second age races during The Wars of Magic and Science, but little did they know just how powerful and independent their weapon would become.
Information:
The proposal to create The Primes came when The Orges had entered the battlefield during The Wars of Magic and Science, they had begun destroying the second age races and kept pushing them back with relative ease due to their large numbers and ridiculously quick rate of replenishing their numbers. The basic idea was to create a unique form of automaton that was capable of advanced methods of warfare and tactical planning without the need for a controller or operating systems, so the proposed idea was to combine disembodied spirits with advanced A.I constructs. Whether it was a stroke of pure genius or an idea born of insanity is known only to those who were there, but the results were undeniable as within a few hours of their construction, The Primes were about to turn the tides against the first age races. Although throughout the course of The Wars of Magic and Science, The Primes began to evolve more and more from the weapons they were designed to be, this culminated in “The Great Mergence” when all Primes underwent a transformation that merged their stolen spirits and their advanced A.I constructs together, creating a single unique form of life.
In terms of appearance, The Primes are bipedal mechanical mortals that normally stand around 5-6ft tall. Their bodies are made out of multiple metals for different areas of the body; Uiannigium is used for the arms, legs and head giving them a very silver metallic look to them and giving them the ability to pack an extremely hard punch, Steinium is used for the chest and internal protection due to it’s strength and flexible nature, and finally Tith is used to protect “The Core” of a prime because of it’s low weight and high resistance to magic based attacks. Additionally most Primes have numerous second age magic particles that they can utilised to bring about great destruction, or great healing.
In the modern age, The Primes are seen by most as functioning members of the galactic community, however many within the magical community dislike them and some are known to actively display their disgust towards them. The reason for this intense hatred by the magical community is because The Primes were the ones that suggested and created “Second Age Magic”, which many within the magical community regard as an “insult to the universe”. This hatred can be mainly seen within magical institutions like “The Beskella Academy” actively banning Primes from entering their buildings, however many claim this prejudice against The Primes is “misplaced” as The Wars of Magic and Science ended nearly 4,000 years ago.
